Seasonal Favorites: Fall Spice Treats

We'll say it before anyone else does: yes, it's a pumpkin spice cheesecake, and no, we're not sorry.
Why the cliché works
Cinnamon, ginger, clove, and nutmeg hit something that feels less like a flavor trend and more like a memory — kitchens in October, something in the oven, a reason to be inside. A good pumpkin spice dessert isn't about the pumpkin so much as it is about that whole feeling.
What makes it work in a cheesecake specifically
Pumpkin puree adds body without making the filling heavy, which means the spice blend can carry more weight than it could in, say, a loaf cake. We build ours on a graham cracker crust, swirl in a little caramel, and finish with cinnamon-dusted whipped cream rosettes — enough spice to be unmistakable, not so much that it tips into overpowering.
